The Hasanuddin University Quality Assurance and Learning Development Agency (LPMPP) received a comparative study visit from the Open University (UT) on Tuesday, October 7, 2025, at the LPMPP Unhas Meeting Room. This activity aimed to conduct benchmarking in order to improve the effectiveness of the implementation of the Internal Quality Assurance System (SPMI) at the Open University.

The UT delegation was led by Dra. Eko Kuswanti, M.Pd., as Manager of Quality Control Development and Risk Management at the Quality Assurance Office (KPM). Also present were Dr. Rini Dwiyani Hadiwidjaja, S.E., M.Si. (Manager of Academic Quality Assurance at KPM), Nuriyawati, A.Md. (Head of Administration at the Quality Assurance Office), Dani Purnama Hermawan, S.E. (Unit Expenditure Treasurer), and Abdul Rochim, S.Kom. (Data Administrator and Accreditation Information System).

The visit was received directly by the Head of LPMPP Unhas, Prof. Dr. Ir. Musrizal Muin, M.Sc., accompanied by the Secretary of LPMPP, Prof. Rini Rachmawaty, S.Kep., Ns., MN., Ph.D., who also gave a presentation on the profile of Hasanuddin University and the strategic role of LPMPP in strengthening the quality assurance system.

Also attending this event were Prof. Dr. Yusring Sanusi B., S.S., M.App.Ling., Head of the Academic Quality Control and Improvement Division; Dr. phil. nat. Ir. Sri Widodo, S.T., M.T., Head of the Internal Quality Assurance Division; Prof. Dr. Kasbawati, S.Si., M.Si. as Head of the Accreditation Management Division; and Prof. Dr. Musran Munizu, S.E., M.Si., M.A.P. as Head of the Risk Management Center, who also gave a presentation on risk management at Hasanuddin University.

In a warm and collaborative atmosphere, both parties exchanged information and experiences regarding SPMI management, quality document development, quality control systems, and risk management in higher education. Through this activity, it is hoped that sustainable synergy will be established between Hasanuddin University and the Open University in strengthening a culture of quality and developing an effective and adaptive internal quality assurance system.

The event concluded with a discussion session and group photo between the LPMPP team from Hasanuddin University and the delegation from the Open University as a symbol of their shared commitment to improving the quality of higher education in Indonesia.
