Hasanuddin University held an international accreditation preparation event for study programs, which was attended by 160 participants consisting of study program heads and study program task forces who would later be encouraged to take part in international accreditation. This event took place from 12.30 to 15,300 WIT yesterday (09/05).

The activity aims to prepare all study programs involved in the international accreditation process at well-known accreditation institutions, such as ASIIN (Germany), FIBAA (Germany), and IABEE (USA). It is hoped that this accreditation can improve Hasanuddin University’s global reputation and increase the competitiveness of graduates in the international job market

Chancellor of Hasanuddin University, Prof. Dr. Ir. Jamaluddin Jompa, M.Sc., said that preparation for international accreditation is an integral part of the university’s commitment to providing high-quality education that is relevant to global demands. “We believe international accreditation will help us assess and improve the quality of study programs, as well as provide wider recognition at the international level,” said Prof. Jamaluddin Jompa.

At the event, participants gained an in-depth understanding of international accreditation requirements and processes. Several expert speakers in their fields also provided insight into the quality standards implemented by leading accreditation institutions. Discussions and workshops are also an important part of this event, allowing participants to share experiences and best practices in preparation for accreditation.

Head of the Accreditation Management Division, Dr. Kasbawati, S.Si., M.Si, emphasized the importance of active involvement of each study program in the accreditation process. “Through good collaboration between the head of the study program and the study program task force, we are confident that Hasanuddin University can achieve international accreditation successfully,” said Dr. Kasbawati.

In his speech, the Chancellor also emphasized the university’s commitment to providing maximum support for this international accreditation process. “We will continue to support every step taken by each study program in facing the challenges of international accreditation. “Their success is the success of the university,” he added.

Hasanuddin University hopes that through this thorough preparation, every study program on campus can meet international quality standards and make a positive contribution to improving the university’s image in the world of global higher education.
