Three Study Programs at the Faculty of Cultural Sciences Unhas Undergo FIBAA Cluster 1 Accreditation Process

Hasanuddin University again underwent an assessment stage for three study programs, namely the Bachelor of Regional Language Study Program, Bachelor of Indonesian Literature, and Master of Linguistics from the International Accreditation Institute FIBAA (Foundation for International Business Administration Accreditation).
The visitation activity began with an initial meeting with the Program Coordinator and Representative of the Rector of Hasanuddin University which took place starting at 14.30 Wita in the Faculty Senate Room, 2nd Floor of the Faculty of Cultural Sciences Building, Tamalanrea Unhas Campus, Makassar, and connected virtually through the zoom meeting application, Monday (27/05).
The FIBAA assessors involved in the visitation process, namely:
- Andrea Dlaska, Middlesex University London
- Soe-Tjen Marching, University of London
- Dr. Edwin Wieringa, University of Cologne
- Dr. Ali Formen, Semarang State University
- Denisa Koch Erich Kästner, Comprehensive School Homberg
- Janina Kofoet (Student Representative), University of Hamburg
- Nina Rotermund, FIBAA Project Manager.
The Rector of Unhas, Prof. Dr. Ir. Jamaluddin Jompa, M.Sc. who was connected through the zoom meeting application in his remarks emphasized that Unhas continues to carry out the optimization process in various fields, including the continuous improvement of the quality of education, one of which is by encouraging study programs for international accreditation. He underlined the importance of the accreditation process as the right momentum to evaluate the quality of education.
“Unhas always encourages study programs to improve quality, including through accreditation not only at the national but also international level. This shows our commitment in providing high quality education to students,” said Prof. Jamaluddin Jompa.
In addition, Prof. Jamaluddin Jompa again emphasized that the purpose of this assessment is not only to carry out accreditation, but also to provide assistance in identifying areas that can be further developed. This reflects Unhas’ commitment to continue to grow and innovate in order to improve the quality of education offered to students and the wider community.
The initial FIBAA visitation activities went smoothly until 16.00 Wita and continued with the assessment process in the 3 accredited study programs and was scheduled to last for three days.
The final meeting of the FIBAA Assessors with the Program Coordinator and the Hasanuddin University Chancellor’s Representative for cluster 1 took place starting at 20.00 Wita virtually through a virtual meeting.
