From 19 to 21 January 2024, Unhas Hotel & Convention was the venue for a Focus Group Discussion (FGD) Review and Revision of Internal Quality Assurance System (SPMI) documents at Hasanuddin University (Unhas). This event was opened by the Chair of the Unhas Quality Assurance and Education Development Institute (LPMPP), Prof. Dr. Ir. Musrizal Muin, MSc., and attended by 21 reviewers from Unhas lecturers. After the opening session, this event was moderated by Dr. phil. Nat. Ir. Sri Widodo, ST. MT., as Head of the Internal Quality Assurance Division of LPMPP Unhas. This activity aims to review and revise quality documents, which consist of policy documents, manuals, standards and quality forms. This SPMI document is the result of updating, reducing, elaborating quality standards for learning, research and community service, as well as other standards that exceed the National Higher Education Standards. This activity is one of the work programs of the Unhas Quality Assurance and Education Development Institute (LPMPP) in 2024.

The activity mechanism begins with the FGD process, starting with a common perception by the entire review team and document revision. After a common perception, the review team carried out a review process for three days at the Unhas Hotel and Convention. The documents reviewed consisted of 73 standard items from the four SPMI documents formulated. After the review and revision process by the reviewer team was complete, the entire document review and revision team together with the Unhas LPMPP team carried out the document finalization process. The importance of collaboration from various lecturers with quality assurance backgrounds in formulating quality policies, manuals, standards and forms at Unhas is a key point in the success of this event.

In controlling the quality of higher education, LPMPP Unhas is always committed to improving the quality of higher education, ensuring that all SPMI documents can contribute to supporting Tridarma activities within Unhas according to the needs of all stakeholders. The implementation of the PPEPP cycle is ensured to run well so that the Continuous Quality Improvement process becomes a target that can be achieved by Unhas.
