Three Unhas Study Programs Underwent International Accreditation Visitation FIBAA Cluster 3

Hasanuddin University underwent another stage of international accreditation assessment, this time the visitation was from the FIBAA Accreditation Institute (Foundation for International Business Administration Accreditation). This visitation is in the context of assessment of three study programs, consisting of Bachelor of Development Economics, Bachelor of Communication Science, and Bachelor of International Relations which are included in cluster 3.
The activity began with an initial meeting with the Program Coordinator and Representative of the Rector of Hasanuddin University which took place starting at 14.00 Wita in the Unhas Academic Senate Room, 2nd Floor of the Rectorate Building, Tamalanrea Campus, last Tuesday (23/4).
The FIBAA Assessors involved in the visitation process are:
Dr. Stefan Fröhlich, University of Erlangen-Nuremberg
Dr. MPA Marcel Machill, University of Leipzig
Dr. Johannes Stephan, Technical University Bergakademie Freiberg
Dr. Olivia Fachrunnisa, Sultan Agung Islamic University
Dr. Magnus Thomas Müller, German-Mongolian Business Association
Dr. Fynn Lohre (Student Representative), Vienna University of Economics and Business
Michael Stephan, FIBAA Project Manager.
In his speech, the Rector of Unhas, Prof. Dr. Ir. Jamaluddin Jompa, M.Sc emphasized the university’s commitment to continue to develop in various aspects. He underlined the importance of the accreditation process as the right momentum to evaluate the quality of education.
“Unhas always encourages study programs to improve quality, including through accreditation not only at the national but also international level. This shows the seriousness of the university in ensuring that the standard of education provided meets global demands,” said Prof. Jamaluddin Jompa.
In addition, Prof. Jamaluddin Jompa also emphasized that the purpose of the arrival of the assessors was not only to carry out accreditation, but also to provide assistance in identifying areas that could be further developed. This reflects Unhas’ commitment to continue to grow and innovate in order to improve the quality of education offered to students and the wider community.
The initial activity of the FIBAA visitation went smoothly until 15.30 Wita and continued with the assessment process in the 3 accredited study programs and was scheduled to last for three days.
As for the closing of the visitation for cluster 1, it was marked by listening to the assessment results from the assessors, which took place starting at 16.00 Wita in the Senate Room 2nd Floor, Rectorate Building, Unhas Tamalanrea Campus, Makassar, on Thursday (25/4).
Representatives of the FIBAA assessor team explained the results of the general field assessment report for each study program, with reference to the criteria and procedures set out in the assessment guidelines. The assessment activity went smoothly until 17.00 Wita and was closed with a group photo.
