Chair of the Hasanuddin University Quality Assurance and Educational Development Institute (LPMPP), Prof. Dr. Ir. Musrizal Muin, M.Sc, accompanied by the Heads of the LPMPP Unhas Division received a visit from the Jakarta National University Team led by Dr. Erna Ermawati Chotim, S.Sos., M.Si (National University Quality Expert). The visit was for the purpose of friendship and to discuss the management of the quality assurance system which was packaged in the form of a workshop entitled “Quality Assurance System, International Accreditation, Curriculum and Implementation of Risk Management”. The activity was held at 09.00 WITA in Meeting Room A LPMPP Unhas, Tamalanrea Campus, Makassar, Wednesday (15/02).

Meanwhile, from the Jakarta Unas Team who attended, namely Dr. Muhani, SE., M.Si.M (Head of Quality Assurance Agency, Unas Jakarta), Dr. Heni Jusuf, S.Kom., M.Kom (Head of the Curriculum Development Agency, Unas Jakarta), and staff from the Quality Assurance Agency and Curriculum Development Agency at Unas Jakarta.

On this occasion, Prof. Musrizal expressed his welcome to the Jakarta Unas team to the Unhas LPMPP. He said that in general LPMPP Unhas welcomed the visit of Unas Jakarta and was very open to sharing information and experiences related to the management of the quality assurance system implemented at Unhas and the services available at LPMPP.

Prof. Musrizal then gave an overview of LPMPP Unhas, from the beginning of its history as an institution and services available in divisions, such as SPMI and AMI training, national and international accreditation assistance and increasing lecturer capacity through PEKERTI and AA training.

On the same occasion, Dr. Erna Ermawati expressed her gratitude for the good reception given by LPMPP Unhas and said that this activity was carried out to explore information and experience related to quality assurance management and learn about Unhas’ efforts and strategies in increasing the international competitiveness of higher education.

“This activity can be a means for all of us to increase insight regarding the management of the Internal Quality Assurance System (SPMI) and External Quality Assurance System (SPME) to be able to increase the competitiveness of higher education, where the world of the education industry becomes competitive, thus encouraging educational institutions in improve the quality of education to be able to compete at international level,” said Dr. Erna Ermawati.

After the opening, the workshop continued with presentation of material on Guidelines for Preparing Higher Education ISK, Risk Management Planning and Implementation, SPMI and SPME Synchronization as well as AMI Applications, Curriculum Applications and Study Program Strategies for International Accreditation. After the presentation of the material, it continued with a discussion session from the participants present.

The entire series of activities ran smoothly and closed with the handing over of souvenirs and group photos at 16.30 WITA.
