In order to improve the quality of learning to international standards through a partnership with USAID and Arizona State University (ASU) in the Higher Education Partnership Initiative (HEPI) program, Hasanuddin University is starting preparations for the 2023 HEPI program by holding a workshop with the theme ” HEPI Curriculum And Workplan Co- Creation in the Context of Improving the Quality of the Tridharma of International Standard Higher Education” which took place starting at 08.00 WIT at the Unhas Grand Ballroom, Unhas Hotel and Convention, Makassar, Thursday (12/01).
Starting the activity, Deputy Chancellor for Partnership, Innovation, Entrepreneurship and Business Unhas Prof. Dr. Eng. Adi Maulana, ST, M.Phil., in his speech expressed his gratitude for the trust given through collaboration in the HEPI program, this activity is one of Unhas’ strategic steps in an effort to improve the quality of sustainable learning so that the academic activities carried out provide benefits by producing globally competitive graduates.
After the speech, Prof. Dr. Yusring Sanusi Baso, SS, M.App.Ling as Head of the Curriculum Development and Learning Division explained regarding curriculum and learning development at Hasanuddin University and on the same occasion, Dr. Robert Schoenfeld, representing the HEPI team, explained that the aim of holding the workshop was to equalize perceptions regarding the core objectives of the HEPI program and develop a curriculum and work plan for the HEPI-Unhas program which is based on the needs/input of Unhas stakeholders as university partners so that an understanding of views and commitment can be obtained in collaborating through a series of workshops/activities that will be carried out in the future to achieve the three core goals of HEPI.
In general, the presentation of the material went smoothly and was followed by a discussion session with the participants present. The workshop activity was attended by 32 participants from the leadership ranks within Unhas who actively provided input in preparing the curriculum and work plans for the HEPI-Unhas program. The entire series of activities is scheduled to end at 16.30 WITA.
