Makassar, June 14, 2024 – The Institute for Development and Quality Assurance of Education (LPMPP) Hasanuddin University (Unhas) held a coordination meeting in the context of implementing Study Program Development Assistance to Meet International Quality Standards in 2024. This activity is a collaboration between the Directorate of Learning and Student Affairs, Directorate General of Higher Education, Research and Technology, Ministry of Education, Culture, Research and Technology with Hasanuddin University as a university that meets the requirements to become a partner in guiding study programs mandated by the Directorate of Learning and Student Affairs to obtain international recognition through the fulfillment of international quality standards.

The 20 study programs involved in this program come from 8 universities, namely: Bina Insani University, Batam International University, Mercu Buana University, Gorontalo State University, Padang State University, President University, Al Mawaddah Warrahmah Kolaka Islamic Science University, and West Sulawesi University.

The coordination meeting took place starting at 10.30 WITA virtually through the Zoom Meeting application and was opened by Prof. Dr. Musrizal Muin, M.Sc., as Chair of LPMPP Unhas. In his remarks, Prof. Musrizal Muin conveyed the importance of synergy between partner universities and the Directorate of Learning and Student Affairs to achieve common goals in improving the quality of higher education in Indonesia.

“We hope that through this program, each study program involved can meet international quality standards and get the expected recognition. Good cooperation and coordination between partner universities and the Directorate of Learning and Student Affairs is very important to realize this,” said Prof. Musrizal. In the meeting, various strategies and steps that will be taken to ensure each study program can meet the standards that have been set were discussed. Intensive and constructive discussions were also held to identify challenges and find the best solutions in implementing this program. This activity is expected to be a solid first step in improving the quality of higher education in Indonesia so that it can compete internationally. All parties involved are committed to working together optimally to achieve the goals of this program.
