The Institute for Quality Assurance and Educational Development (LPMPP) of Hasanuddin University held a Focus Group Discussion (FGD) with the theme Preparation of the ASIIN Cluster E Preliminary Report Response Document which started at 09.00 Wita in the Innovate Room, Unhas Hotel & Convention, 2nd Floor, Unhas Tamalanrea Campus, Makassar, Thursday (23/05).

This activity was attended by around 25 participants who were the University Task Force and the Study Program Task Force Team who participated in international accreditation by ASIIN which was included in Cluster E, consisting of: Undergraduate Study Program in Agricultural Engineering, Bachelor of Forestry, Master of Plant Pests and Diseases, and Master of Environmental Management.

The activity was opened by the Chairman of LPMPP Unhas, Prof. Dr. lr. Musrizal Muin, M.Sc. who delivered the opening remarks and emphasized the importance of collaboration and constructive discussion in preparing this response document and hoped that the results of the FGD could make a significant contribution in improving the initial ASIIN Cluster E report.

Furthermore, Prof. Musrizal said that the international accreditation process is not just a formality, but an effort to continue to improve the quality of education at Hasanuddin University. Accreditation from ASIIN will not only enhance our reputation in the international eyes, but also ensure that the education we provide to students meets global quality standards.

During the FGD, participants actively discussed and provided constructive input regarding various aspects that need to be improved and enhanced in the response document. This interactive discussion aims to ensure that the documents produced meet the expected quality standards and can support efforts to improve the quality of education at Unhas.

This FGD activity is part of a series of efforts by Unhas to obtain international accreditation from ASIIN, an institution based in Germany and known for its high quality standards in the field of education. With the implementation of this FGD, it is hoped that the response document prepared can provide a clear and comprehensive description of the efforts that have been and will be made by Unhas in order to meet ASIIN accreditation criteria.

The event went smoothly until 17.00 WIB and was closed with a group photo session. The results of this FGD are expected to be immediately compiled and sent to ASIIN for the next evaluation stage.
