Hasanuddin University again received a visit from assessors from the international accreditation agency FIBAA (Foundation for International Business Administration Accreditation) in the context of assessing two study programs at the Faculty of Law. The visitation activity began with an initial meeting with the Program Coordinator and Representative of the Rector of Hasanuddin University which took place at 14.30 Wita in the Senate Room 2nd Floor, Faculty of Law, Tamalanrea Unhas Campus, Makassar, and connected virtually through the zoom meeting application, Monday (06/05).

The two study programs are S1 Legal Science and S1 State Administration Law. The FIBAA assessors involved in the visitation process, namely:

1. Dr. Daniela Heid, Federal University of Applied Administrative Science, Brunl, Germany
2. Dr. Jur. Jan Friedrich Bruckermann, FOM International University of Applied Sciences of Economy and Management
3. Dr. Julian Rossig, Capgemini Invent, Germany
4. Dr. Tolkah, Walisongo State Islamic University
5. Kira Kock (Student Representative), University of Munster, Germany
6. Friderike Uphoff, FIBAA Project Manager.

The Rector of Unhas, Prof. Dr. Ir. Jamaluddin Jompa, M.Sc. in his speech said that Unhas as a university continuously continues to carry out the optimization process in various fields, including improving the quality of education quality, one of which is by encouraging study programs for international accreditation.

Furthermore, Prof. Jamaluddin Jompa said that Unhas optimally facilitates and empowers all study programs to get national and international recognition through several strategic steps. According to him, as the largest state university with various achievements not only in Eastern Indonesia, Unhas needs to collaborate well with strategic partners so that the benefits of Unhas as a higher education institution can be felt by the entire community.

“The suggestions and input that will be given will enrich Unhas, as well as being an encouragement for Unhas to continue to improve its quality. Of course we hope that the various documents that have been prepared by the taskforce team are appropriate and get a good assessment. Unhas considers this activity to be a form of effort to make Unhas continue to maintain the quality of education provided, “explained Prof. Jamaluddin Jompa.

After opening remarks from the University leadership, the activity continued with a question and answer session from the FIBAA assessors. In general, the assessors asked questions related to the learning process, infrastructure facilities, quality assurance, and Unhas achievements in general.

The activity went smoothly until 15.30 Wita and continued with the assessment process for two study programs at the Faculty of Law Unhas which was scheduled to last for three days.

The final meeting of the FIBAA Assessors with the Program Coordinator and the Hasanuddin University Rector Representative for cluster 4 was marked by listening to the assessment results from the assessors, which took place from 19.30 to 20.00 Wita in the Senate Room 2nd Floor, Faculty of Law, Tamalanrea Unhas Campus, Makassar, Wednesday (08/05).

Previously in Cluster 3, FIBAA had carried out an assessment process for three study programs at Unhas, namely the S.1 Development Economics Study Program, S.1 Communication Science, and S.1 International Relations which took place last April.
