The Institute for Quality Assurance and Educational Development (LPMPP) of Hasanuddin University received a benchmarking visit by the Delegation Team of the Quality Assurance Institute (LPM) of the Muslim University of Indonesia in the context of exploring cooperation focused on assisting study programs in efforts to achieve international accreditation from ASIIN and FIBAA International Accreditation Institutions starting at 09.00 Wita in Meeting Room “A” LPMPP Unhas, Monday (22/04).

The delegation team from LPM UMI consisting of seven people led directly by the Chairperson of LPM UMI, Ir. Syamsuddin Yani, MT., Ph.D., IPM., ASEAN.Eng, accompanied by Dr. Ir. Ayu Kartini Parawansa, M.P. (Secretary of LPM UMI), Dr. Fatma Afrianty Gobel, SKM., M.Epid (Quality System Control Field), Ir. Dedy Atmajaya, S.Kom., M.Eng.MTA (Head of Information Systems and Statistics), Dr. Fairus Prihatin Idris, SKM., M.Kes (Head of Internal Quality Audit), Dr. Muhammad Akhsan Tenrisau, S.Psi., MHRM.gt (Head of Accreditation, Training and Cooperation) and Drs. Maha Umar (Head of Administration).

Meanwhile, the LPMPP Unhas Team was led by Prof. Dr. Ir. Musrizal Muin, M.Sc as Chairperson of LPMPP Unhas, accompanied by Rini Rachmawaty, S.Kep., Ns., MN., Ph.D (Secretary of LPMPP), Prof. Dr. Kasbawati, S.Si., M.Si. (Head of Accreditation Management Division), and Dr. phil.nat. Sri Widodo, ST., MT. (Head of Internal Quality Assurance Division).

The event was opened with remarks from the Head of LPMPP Unhas where Prof. Musrizal Muin said “We are very enthusiastic about welcoming the LPM UMI team. Inter-institutional collaboration is the key to delivering quality higher education in Indonesia”.

On the same occasion, Ir. Syamsuddin Yani, Ph.D. expressed his gratitude for the good reception by the Unhas LPMPP team and emphasized the commitment to work with LPMPP Unhas. “We believe, through close cooperation, we can raise the standard of higher education in this country.” He added.

After the opening, the activity continued with a discussion on strategies and concrete steps that will be taken to improve the quality of higher education in both institutions. Through this activity, it is expected to be a productive first step in realizing a shared vision to improve the quality of Indonesian higher education, especially in facing global challenges such as international accreditation.

The activity went smoothly until 11:00 am and was closed with the handover of souvenirs and group photos.
