PEKERTI Training Batch 103: Improving the Quality of Lecturer Teaching

Makassar, January 25, 2025 – The hall of the Institute for Quality Assurance and Educational Development witnessed the implementation of the 103rd Batch of Basic Instructional Techniques Improvement Training (PEKERTI) which took place offline from January 20 to 25, 2025. This activity was attended by 43 participants from various faculties within the university, with the aim of improving the pedagogical competence of lecturers in delivering lecture material effectively
The trainees came from the Faculty of Medicine, Faculty of Engineering, Faculty of Social and Political Sciences, Faculty of Humanities, Faculty of Agriculture, Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, Faculty of Animal Husbandry, Faculty of Dentistry, Faculty of Public Health, Faculty of Marine Science and Fisheries, Faculty of Forestry, Faculty of Pharmacy, Graduate School, Faculty of Nursing, and Faculty of Vocational Studies.
The trainees came from the Faculty of Medicine, Faculty of Engineering, Faculty of Social and Political Sciences, Faculty of Humanities, Faculty of Agriculture, Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, Faculty of Animal Husbandry, Faculty of Dentistry, Faculty of Public Health, Faculty of Marine Science and Fisheries, Faculty of Forestry, Faculty of Pharmacy, Graduate School, Faculty of Nursing, and Faculty of Vocational Studies.The training was officially opened by Rini Rachmawaty, S.Kep., Ns., MN., Ph.D., as the Secretary of the Institute for Quality Assurance and Educational Development. In her speech, she emphasized the importance of improving the quality of teaching in supporting learning that is more interactive and in accordance with the times.
PEKERTI is a training program designed to equip lecturers with basic skills in instructional techniques, including teaching strategies, learning design, and evaluation of student learning outcomes. Through this activity, participants are expected to implement more innovative and student-oriented learning methods.
With the end of this training, the participants are expected to be able to apply the knowledge they have gained in the learning process in the classroom, so that they can contribute to improving the quality of education at the university. The spirit of learning and sharing knowledge continues to be a commitment in producing a generation of academics who are superior and competitive in the global era.
