Facing Assessments by ASIIN and FIBAA, Unhas Holds Preparatory Meeting for International Accreditation Visit.

Hasanuddin University, through the Institute for Quality Assurance and Educational Development (LPMPP), held a Preparatory Meeting for the Visitation of International Accreditation for Study Programs within Hasanuddin University. The meeting took place starting at 14.00 WITA in the LPMPP Unhas Hall and was chaired by the Secretary of Hasanuddin University accompanied by the Chair of the LPMPP and his staff, last Tuesday (30/01).
This activity was attended by around 65 participants consisting of Faculty Deans, Academic Leaders, Heads of Study Programs, and the Study Program Taskforce who took part in international accreditation by ASIIN and FIBAA.
The activity was opened by the Chair of LPMPP Unhas, Prof. Dr. lr. Musrizal Muin, M.Sc. who delivered opening remarks and underlined the importance of participation and coordination of all stakeholders so that the visitation would run smoothly.
“It is very important for us to work together towards achieving international accreditation. “This will be the basis for further development and provide confidence to all stakeholders, including lecturers, students, alumni and industrial partners,” explained Prof. Musrizal.
Furthermore, the University Secretary was present on behalf of the Unhas Chancellor to provide direction to meeting participants to ensure thorough preparation to undergo the international accreditation visitation process. On this occasion, Hasanuddin University Secretary Prof. Ir. Steel Contribution, M.Phill., Ph.D. said, “International accreditation is an important step in improving the quality of education at Unhas. “By obtaining certification from international institutions such as ASIIN and FIBAA, the study program is expected to provide high and globally relevant educational standards and open opportunities for international classes at Unhas.”
This preparatory meeting includes various agendas, including identification and improvements to meet international accreditation standards as well as the readiness of personnel, facilities and infrastructure to support the implementation of activities. Participants who attended made valuable contributions to the success of the visitation and the meeting lasted until 16.00 WITA.
