Cokroaminoto University Palopo (UNCP) conducted a working visit for benchmarking purposes to Hasanuddin University on Monday, December 22, 2025. This strategic visit focused on strengthening university governance, particularly in meeting curriculum standards, accreditation strategies, and quality assurance systems.

The delegation from Cokroaminoto University (UNCP) was warmly welcomed by the leadership of Hasanuddin University, represented by the Head of LPMPP UNHAS Prof. Dr. Ir. Musrizal Muin, M.Sc. Secretary of LPMPP and several Division Heads, in Meeting Room “A” of the Unhas Quality Assurance and Education Development Institute, Tamalanrea. This meeting served as a forum for intensive discussion on efforts to enhance campus competitiveness through sustainable quality standardization

Main Focus of Cooperation

During the panel discussion, three crucial points were discussed:

1. StandCard Compliance: Discussion on the implementation of Outcome Based Education (OBurriculum E), which is now an international standard, and curriculum adaptation to the Merdeka Belajar Kampus Merdeka (MBKM) policy.
2. Acceleration of Accreditation: Unhas shares its experiences and strategies in maintaining excellent accreditation and steps towards international accreditation for study programmes.3
3. Quality Assurance System (SPM): Presentation on the integration of the Internal Quality Assurance System (SPMI) and External Quality Assurance System (SPME) to work in harmony in creating an effective PPEPP (Determination, Implementation, Evaluation, Control, and Improvement) cycle.4

4. Accelerating Scientific Publication: Strategies for managing internal journals to be indexed by SINTA and Scopus, as well as providing incentives for lecturers to break into global publications

Building Synergy Among Universities

Representatives from Cokroaminoto University Palopo (UNCP) stated that the selection of Unhas as a benchmarking partner was based on Unhas’ reputation as one of the best universities in Indonesia with a proven quality assurance system.

“We hope that through this visit, we can adopt best practices from Unhas to be implemented in Palopo, especially in preparing our study programs to achieve the highest accreditation,” said the Rector of Cokroaminoto University Palopo, Dr. Sri Hastuty Saruman, SE., M.Pd.

Hasanuddin University also welcomed this collaboration as a form of implementing the Tri Dharma Perguruan Tinggi (Three Pillars of Higher Education), whereby major universities have a role to nurture and share knowledge for the sake of equitable national educational advancement.

The visit ended with the exchange of souvenirs and a commitment from both parties to continue intensive communication regarding future academic quality development.
