Focus Group Discussion on Formulating Responses to the Results of the IABEE Self-Evaluation Report (SER) Review in the Context of International Accreditation of Study Programs in 2025

The Hasanuddin University (Unhas) Quality Assurance and Education Development Agency (LPMPP) successfully held a Focus Group Discussion (FGD) entitled “Preparing Responses to the Results of the IABEE Self-Evaluation Report (SER) Review in the Context of International Accreditation of Study Programs in 2025”. The event took place over three days, from Friday to Sunday (September 19-21, 2025), at the Aston Makassar Hotel and Convention Center, starting at 3:30 p.m. WITA until completion.
The FGD was attended by approximately 39 participants consisting of the University Task Force Team and the Task Force Teams from five leading engineering study programs at Unhas, namely the Heads of the Electrical Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Geological Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, and Civil Engineering Study Programs, along with four supporting team members from each study program.
The event was officially opened by Prof. Rini Rachmawaty, S.Kep., Ns., MN., Ph.D, Secretary of LPMPP Unhas, who emphasized the importance of collaboration and commitment from all parties in improving the quality of engineering study programs to meet international accreditation standards.
This event featured expert speakers from various disciplines, namely Prof. Dr. Kasbawati, S.Si., M.Si, Prof. Dr. Yusring Sanusi, Baso, S.S., M.App.Ling, Dr. phil.nat. Ir. Sri Widodo, ST., MT, Prof. Dr.Eng. Ir. Muhammad Isran Ramli, S.T., M.T., Prof. Dr. Amil Ahmad Ilham, ST., MIT, Ir. Abdul Mufti Radja, ST., MT., Ph.D, Dr. Eng. Fakhruddin, S.T., M.Eng, Dr.Eng. Ir. Dewiani, M.T., IPM, Dr.Eng. Muralia Hustim, ST., MT, and Susy Asteria Irafany, S.T., M.Si.
The main objective of this FGD was to gain an in-depth understanding of the perceptions, attitudes, and experiences of stakeholders regarding the results of the IABEE Self-Evaluation Report (SER). Additionally, this activity also aims to analyze key findings, identify areas for improvement, and formulate comprehensive responses and strategies to enhance the quality of engineering study programs at Unhas to meet international accreditation standards.
