The Institute for Quality Assurance and Educational Development (LPMPP) of Hasanuddin University (Unhas) received a visit from the Quality Assurance Institute (LPM) of the State Institute of Christian Religion (IAKN) Toraja in the context of benchmarking activities. This activity took place on Thursday, August 15, 2024, in Meeting Room “A” LPMPP Unhas.

The delegation from the Quality Assurance Institute (LPM) of Institut Agama Kristen Negeri (IAKN) Toraja consisting of 8 people was led by Andarias T. Sitammu, M.Th as the Head of the Quality Assurance Institute (LPM). Other members of the group were Ariyanto Gala, SP (Secretary of LPM), Dr. James A. Lola, M.Th (Chairman of the Senate), Djidon Lamba’, Ph.D (Secretary of the Senate), Estuningsih, SH, MM (Head of the Bureau of General Administration, Academic and Student Affairs), Yulia S. Malolok, S.Th., M.Pd (Head of Academic Services), Yulianti Duma, SE (Planner), and Juliana Sangka’, SE (Expenditure Treasurer).

This activity aims to explore information and study the preparation of quality documents at LPMPP Unhas which has been known to have a good quality assurance system. The IAKN Toraja delegation was welcomed by the LPMPP Unhas team led by Prof. Dr. Ir. Musrizal Muin, M.Sc as Chairperson of LPMPP Unhas. Also present in this activity, Rini Rachmawaty, S.Kep., Ns., MN., Ph.D as Secretary of LPMPP, as well as the Head of Division within LPMPP Unhas which includes Prof. Dr. Yusring Sanusi B, S.S., M.App.Ling (Head of Curriculum Development and Learning Division), Prof. Dr. Kasbawati, S.Si., M.Si (Head of Accreditation Management Division), and Dr. Phil. Nat. Sri Widodo, ST., MT (Head of Internal Quality Assurance Division).

In his remarks, Prof. Dr. Ir. Musrizal Muin, M.Sc expressed his appreciation for the visit from LPM IAKN Toraja and hoped that this benchmarking activity could strengthen cooperation and exchange experiences in terms of education quality assurance.

On this occasion, the team from LPMPP Unhas also explained the various policies and procedures applied in managing quality documents, and provided an overview of the internal quality assurance system that has been running at Unhas. The participants from IAKN Toraja showed enthusiasm and were active in the interactive discussion, which is expected to make a positive contribution to the development of the quality system at IAKN Toraja.

This activity ended with the handover of souvenirs from both parties as a token of remembrance and a symbol of joint commitment in an effort to improve the quality of education in Indonesia.
