Unhas Undergoes ASIIN Cluster D Visitation Process for Five Study Programs

Five Study Programs at Hasanuddin University which are members of Cluster D undergo a visitation process from the ASIIN international accreditation agency. The visitation activity began with an initial meeting with the Program Coordinator and Representative of the Rector of Hasanuddin University which took place starting at 11.00 Wita in the Unhas Academic Senate Room, 2nd Floor, Unhas Rectorate Building, Monday (04/03).
Study programs in Cluster D come from the Faculty of Marine Science and Fisheries, Faculty of Animal Husbandry, Faculty of Medicine and Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, consisting of Bachelor of Marine Science, Master of Fisheries Science, Master of Animal Science and Technology, Bachelor of Veterinary Medicine-Professional Doctor and Bachelor of Biology.
Present at the meeting, Prof. Dr. Ir. Jamaluddin Jompa, M.Sc. as Rector of Unhas, accompanied by the Chairperson of the Unhas Board of Trustees, Academic Senate, Vice Rectors, Heads of Institutions and their staff, Directors and their staff, and Deans within Unhas.
The ASIIN assessors involved in the visitation process are:

- Alois Palmetshofer, University of Wurzburg
- Mochammad Riyanto, IPB Bogor
- Angela Schwarzer, Ludwig Maximilian University of Munich
- Habil, Sonja Kleinertz, Conservation Dive Centre
- Retno Yulifenia, Gadjah Mada University
- Daniel Seegers, ASIIN Office
In his opening remarks, the Rector of Unhas, Prof. Dr. Ir. Jamaluddin Jompa, M.Sc., emphasized the importance of the ASIIN accreditation process in ensuring the quality and integrity of study programs, he hopes that this process will provide important information that can improve the quality of education.
Prof. JJ also highlighted the university’s role in improving the overall quality of education. He emphasized the need for continuous development in strategic programs that can take the university to the international level. This includes the development of international classes as well as other internationalization programs. In doing so, Hasanuddin University affirms its commitment to achieving international standards in education and research.
The initial ASIIN assessment activities went smoothly until 14.30 Wita where after a question and answer session with ASIIN assessors, the assessment process continued with a visit to each accredited study program.
The final meeting of ASIIN Assessors and Program Coordinators and Rector Representatives of Hasanuddin University for cluster D was marked by listening to the assessment results from the assessors, which took place starting at 15.30 Wita in the Senate Room, 2nd Floor of the Rectorate Building, Unhas Tamalanrea Campus, Makassar, Tuesday (05/03).
The results of the assessment process will be submitted after a thorough document review has been conducted by ASIIN. For document improvements, it will be submitted to be carried out before the assessment results are officially issued by ASIIN. The closing of the assessment process went smoothly until 16.30 Wita.
