Unhas Undergoes ASIIN Visitation Process for Undergraduate Chemistry, Undergraduate Pharmacy, and Master of Pharmaceutical Sciences Study Programs

Three Hasanuddin University Study Programs undergo a visitation process from the ASIIN international accreditation agency. The visitation activity began with an initial meeting with the Program Coordinator and Representative of the Rector of Hasanuddin University which took place starting at 11.00 Wita in the Unhas Academic Senate Room, 2nd Floor of the Unhas Rectorate Building, Wednesday (21/02).
The study programs that were visited came from the Faculty of Pharmacy and the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, consisting of the Bachelor of Chemistry, Bachelor of Pharmacy, and Master of Pharmaceutical Sciences Study Programs which are incorporated into cluster A.
resent at the meeting, Prof. Dr. Ir. Jamaluddin Jompa, M.Sc. as Rector of Unhas, accompanied by the Chairperson of the Unhas Board of Trustees, Academic Senate, Vice Rectors, Heads of Institutions and their staff, Directors and their staff, and Deans within Unhas.
Starting the activity, the Rector of Unhas Prof. JJ in his remarks expressed his pride and joy that the visitation process could again take place face-to-face. Given, during the Covid-19 pandemic, assessments like this took place online. Furthermore, according to Prof. JJ, the implementation of accreditation is needed as a standard to ensure the quality of each study program. By increasing the status of international accreditation, it is an effort and commitment towards a World Class University.
“Improving the quality of Unhas education quality is in line with the direction of university policies and strategies through vision and mission. Fulfillment of qualifications and competence of lecturers and student achievement is also an important role in every achievement of the university running the tridarma of higher education, “explained Prof. JJ.
After opening remarks from the University leadership, then continued with a question and answer session from ASIIN assessors. In general, the assessors asked questions related to the learning process, infrastructure facilities, quality assurance, and Unhas achievements in general.
The ASIIN assessors involved in the visitation process are:

- Emeline Jerez, ASIIN Office
The meeting went smoothly until 13.00 Wita and continued with the assessment process and visits by assessors to each accredited study program.
The final meeting of ASIIN Assessors and Program Coordinators and Rector Representatives of Hasanuddin University took place on Thursday (22/2) at 15.00 Wita in the Unhas Academic Senate Room, 2nd Floor of the Unhas Rectorate Building where ASIIN assessors as a whole gave appreciation for the efforts made by Hasanuddin University to improve the quality of learning, especially in the three study programs that are in the process of being certified.
ASIIN Cluster A assessment activities for S1 Chemistry, S1 Pharmacy, and S2 Pharmaceutical Sciences Study Programs went smoothly until 16.00 Wita and closed with a group photo.
